Elon Musk’s Future Vision and How To Stay Relevant

Elon Musk was not joking when he said:

Elon Musk Solar Panels

“WE WANT TO BE A LEADER IN APOCALYPSE TECHNOLOGY”

I love his attitude. I am not a fan of his ideals and vision but he is the most realistic person on stage right now. I’d like to believe that i understand some of his motives but still,

Take everything i am about to say with a grain of salt.

There is an apocalypse coming, it has more than one side to it and we have set things in motion already.

There is no coming back from where we headed. Think of it as a funnel. You may adjust your angle, but you will eventually end up there.

We have consumed our natural resources like there is no tomorrow. We have replaced what was beneath the earth and put them above us.

We are too industrialized, take everything for granted, and live as if every source that is making our lives easier are not finite.

Governments pushing individuals to cut their consumption, be green, be mindful, and all but it is not working out.

We have unwillingly demonstrated that even when people were locked up, emissions did not decrease substantially. Individual actions do not have direct effects but they contribute by making this system function.

Elon Musk believes in 3 major events that will have apocalyptic impacts on us :

Artificial Intelligence (Biggest Threat)

Societal Collapse

Earth Being Inhabitable

He invests and develops his technology in accordance with these events and i have summed some of his goals:

Grid Defection

It is self-explanatory: It means living off the grid, without utilities such as electricity, water, sewage heating, etc.

Self-sustaining.

Let me break it to you, Tesla is not a car company.

Tesla is an energy and software company. Their most prominent product seems to be an electric car with impressive 0–60 times but they are mainly in battery and software business. Car wise, Tesla cars are mediocre and certainly are not green. They are not the most reliable when it comes to mechanics and can not meet traditional expectations of a car buyer. They don’t even profit. But Tesla does not believe in advertisement. Tesla has spent 0$ on ads. Instead, Musk used the consumer car business to jump-start the company and he is now slowly turning it into a leading Apocalypse Brand. He is using his fame and his absurd consumer products such as the Boring Company Flamethrower as advertising devices.

Solar Roof

Tesla’s most groundbreaking product is the SolarRoof and accompanying PowerWall. His ultimate goal is to create a sustainable, self-reliant housing unit that would complement the EV and the infamous CyberTruck which is a riot-proof, bulletproof behemoth. He claimed CyberTruck could even have solar panels which makes sense because he is also trying to make Vehicle-to-grid technology feasible.

CyberTruck

Say you visited your office, charged your car and you came back with an almost full charge and tomorrow is not going to be sunny or windy: Your car can charge your house. And it will suffice,

Because your house will be running on extremely efficient, ai managed batteries now.

Some despise Grid Defection :

“resource-intensive solar separatism for the rich and the geographically lucky” who hide in their “affluent enclaves.”

But i see it from a different angle, it will make people more conscious of their finite resources and provide them with more financial freedom in the end.

Elon Musk simply bought a car company and merged it with his visions to produce sustainable powerhouses that could receive updates over the air and be manipulated wirelessly. He is even planning to turn the autopilot into a subscription-based feature.

Oh and there is Starlink:

Remember, this guy does not like being connected to grid one bit but the internet relies on a grid and we rely on internet. This genius solved it by moving that infrastructure away from the earth.

Societal Collapse

He probably believes cities are going to be considered not safe and central governments to be weakened due to distrust. I came to this conclusion because of his focus on hyperloop, boring company, and over-militarized cybertruck features.

It is understandable;

People are able to share a video with millions in a heartbeat, consume information, and eat through content in seconds. This causes society to be agitated and polarized. You are no longer exposed to only the biggest atrocities or petty local crime. You are being exposed to all of them, from everywhere, in bulk. Emotions add up. People become more defensive.

Factor in the potential software and related privacy crisis that is ahead of us, the emergence of new diseases due to population increase; it is not surprising to assume such an event taking place worldwide and becoming the new normal. Government oppression usually comes with a termination date.

Artificial Intelligence

Quantum computers are almost here and scientists are rushing to develop encryptions that can withstand them. Now Imagine an AI with quantum power. For Qubits’ sake.

OpenAI, already stirred the pot with their AI making great music. Their AI even had copyright issues with artists.

AI is going to arrive eventually, no doubt about that and according to a thought experiment Roko’s Basilisk (which also ironically caused Musk and Grimes to meet each other), AI is unlikely to be controllable or benign. The biggest Irony is, teaching AI is going to be a lucrative business itself .

Musk’s ultimate fear is this inevitable enemy. He already invested in DeepMind to keep Google’s development of AI in check.

He believes we can only fight with it by elevating ourselves as well. That is why he has Neuralink. When Joe Rogan asked him about how are we going to get used to being linked to a device he cleverly replies that we already are: Our phones are already extensions of us and instead of using our thumbs we will be using our brain.

Future

Let me set the scene:

You will most likely be working from home since most jobs will not require you physically being somewhere, your house will harvest its energy from sun-rays, wind, waves whatever(no more bills), your internet is provided by Starlink.

You will most likely have couple of drones controlled by AI to fetch groceries etc. for you. In case you have to be somewhere; your mobility is covered by the cybertruck which is going to cocoon you from the outside factors. Cities will have high tech tunnels beneath them so you are not going to be helplessly “trapped” in a traffic jam.

In case you are elite enough, you are also going to be able to live on Mars. You will be controlling all your devices via neuralink and a big chunk of people are going to be just like today: Couch potatoes who consume content day and night, just the medium will change. Content is still going to be king.

Emerging Business Models : (From the perspective of a failed entrepreneur)

  • Off-the-Grid Solutions
  • AI teaching
  • Sharing Platforms (Share your excess power, utilities, drones, vehicles, solar panels, batteries)
  • CrowdSourcing
  • 3D Printing and Related
  • Mobile Energy Distribution

FAANGMULA will be no more.

There will be E.M. & X AE A-12
